Since April this year, boosted by the policy of stop collecting software copyright registration fees and other 41 administrative charges issued by the State Council, the copyright holders are enthusiastic on the registration of software. Based on 30% annual growth rate of software registration volume, it also shows the development trend of leaping growth. Only in the case of software copyright registration in May, the number of monthly registrations exceeded 70 thousand, set a new record of monthly registration volume over the years, the registration volume is grown by 102.28% over the same period of last year. Registration volume increased by more than 1 times over the same period in 2016. From China's provinces and cities software copyright registration ranking in May, the top 10 provinces or cities’ amount of registration take the proportion of 83.94% of the national volume, compared with the same period in 2016, it grown 4%; Top 10 province and cities’ amount of registration grown by 112..26% over the same period of last year. Surpassed the national average growth rate of nearly 10 percent.
Among the top 10, Guangdong, Shandong, Fujian, and Tianjin province grown over 100% over the same period of last year. Guangdong grown the fastest, the rate goes up to 220.36%, besides, eastern region’s province or cities occupied 8 out of 10, and took 78.65% out of China’s total registration volume, it can be seen that in relatively developed eastern region, the volume of registration of software grown swiftly, and was more obviously effect by the policy over the other area.
